Toyota has officially unveiled the sixth-generation RAV4—an iconic SUV that has led sales in both the U.S. and global markets. Rather than building an entirely new model, the company adopted a strategy similar to the Camry’s by revitalizing its upgraded TNGA-K platform, while comprehensively refining the exterior, interior, and powertrain to deliver a more modern appearance and a sportier driving experience than ever before.
Sporty, Youthful Exterior
The new RAV4 retains its signature trapezoidal wheel arches and bold character lines but introduces a series of sharper, more angular details. At the front, crisp C-shaped LED headlights, a body-color grille, and enlarged air intakes create a more aggressive look. Toyota offers three distinct styling themes—Core (LE, XLE, Limited), Sport (SE, XSE, GR Sport), and Rugged (including the off-road-focused Woodland). The GR Sport trim makes its U.S. debut with a Toyota Gazoo Racing package that adds a stiffer chassis and tuned suspension for an even more dynamic driving feel.

An Interior Revolution
Inside, the cockpit embraces minimalism and advanced technology. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster pairs with a floating infotainment display—available in 10.5- or 12.9-inch sizes depending on trim—both as standard equipment. Toyota’s new Audio Multimedia system runs on the Arene software platform, and the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite of driver-assist features is integrated as well. The center console replaces much of its physical buttons with a touch-sensitive interface, adds an electronic shift lever, and expands storage capacity.

Fully Electrified Powertrain
Toyota has phased out the traditional gasoline-only engine, offering two hybrid options instead: a self-charging hybrid (HEV) and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), both powered by a 2.5-liter inline-four. The HEV produces 226 horsepower in front-wheel-drive models and 236 hp in all-wheel-drive versions. The PHEV kicks output up to 320 hp and delivers an electric-only range of approximately 80 km. It also supports DC fast charging via a CCS port, replenishing from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Dimensions and Color Palette
The new RAV4 spans 4,595–4,618 mm in length, while its 2,690 mm wheelbase remains unchanged—aside from a 13 mm height increase on the Woodland trim, thanks to its off-road tires. Beyond the classic color lineup, Toyota adds three new hues—Meteor Shower, Everest, and Storm Cloud—plus the Urban Rock exclusive to Woodland and Supersonic Red reserved for GR Sport.
Launch Timing and Pricing
The 2026 Toyota RAV4 will arrive at U.S. dealerships by late 2025. The base Core trim is expected to start at around USD 33,000–35,000 (approximately VND 857–909 million), while the flagship GR Sport could climb to about USD 50,000 (around VND 1.3 billion).
